about last week


The week's activities began with a trip to Mountain Island Charter School for a practice session shoot for two of my clients (I do one free practice/workout session per month for my loyalty customers). Got some pics and some mixtape flicks, knocked the edits out, and delivered the content to the parents and players. One of them actually did an amazing job creating his own mixtape.


I was a little jealous :)


Then it was a night time visit to Camp North End. We decided to get out Wednesday evening to practice night photography with NO FLASH. While I worked my magic, Dash chose to work on sharpening his video skills. He's the Director of Photography of the future film industry. I was inspired to grab the shot of the Harley Davidson motorcycle above, and I've received lots of love over it.


Saturday, I paid a visit to Rock Hill Sports & Event Center to shoot some mixtape footage. After wrapping up a couple of games, I made my way down to a court that was overflowing with parents, players, and police. I learned it was because Ja Morant was on the bench. Shortly after grabbing some pics and flicks of him, it was announced that Derrick Rose was also present on the same court.

I decided to stay and shoot the games Ja Morant was coaching and got some great content that's done extremely well on my social media pages.

I was hoping to make it to the Kilborne DIY for some pics on Sunday, but this guy was still pretty tired from Saturday's frenzy.

I hate that I'm going to miss the Bigger than Basketball final tournament of the season on July 20th. My student is going to shoot the content for my clients in my absence. He's up to the challenge, and it's great to have a backup plan when I can't be there.


I plan to continue shooting AAU basketball for the rest of the summer, and I'm already excited about the Fall sports season kicking off when school returns.
